Grant Career Center's **Thanksgiving Food Drive** kicks off Monday, November 2, and runs through Thursday, November 19!
This year, our students are working together to assemble complete Thanksgiving meal kits for local families, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
❤️ COMMUNITY MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE!
Want to make a difference? Simply fill a grocery bag with the following food items*and drop it off at Grant Career Center during the food drive!
🛒 Each complete bag should include:
🥫 2 cans of green beans
🌽 2 cans of corn
🥔 2 large boxes of instant mashed potatoes
🍗 2 jars or packets of turkey or chicken gravy
🍞 2 boxes of stuffing
🧀 2 boxes of mac and cheese
⚠️ **Please make sure all donated food items are unopened, non-expired, and in their original packaging.**
🏆 A LITTLE FRIENDLY COMPETITION FOR A GREAT CAUSE!
Our career-tech labs are competing to collect the most complete meal kits! Every complete bag earns a lab one point, and the winning lab will enjoy a special meal in The Gallery!
Every bag represents more than just food. It represents kindness, generosity, and a community coming together to help neighbors enjoy Thanksgiving.

🔥🧯 Hands-On Fire Safety Training! 🚒
Our Grant Career Center Construction Technology students got some real-world experience this week learning how to properly extinguish a fire!
After classroom instruction, Chief Cooper and his crew from the Bethel-Tate Fire Department stopped by to give students the opportunity to put their new skills to the test by extinguishing a real fire in a controlled training environment!
Students practiced the PASS technique:
🧯 P – Pull the pin
🎯 A – Aim at the base of the fire
✊ S – Squeeze the handle
↔️ S – Sweep from side to side
A HUGE thank-you to Chief Cooper and BTFD for taking the time to provide this valuable hands-on learning experience!

Construction Technology students enjoyed both hands-on experience and networking at The Ohio Carpenters Training Facility in Monroe, Ohio.
Vet Science Seniors’ Fun time with our Bobby, he’s the sweetest. He definitely loves to run around and make his little noises!
Early Childhood Education and Grant Head Start had their Preschool Fall Activity Day, where ECE students assisted Preschoolers in learning tasks such as fine motor skills, letter recognition, math concepts, and creative arts. We began with a nature walk in our own backyard for leaves and flowers to create a pumpkin sun catcher, then we made pumpkin bead necklaces, painted corn by using Legos, made Name pumpkins, and made faces using Play-Doh. It was a great day. with all hands on deck!
Students are helping clear brush and leaves in the Bethel community for Grant Give Back.
Jocelyn from Rooted Hair Salon visited our cosmetology class today! We enjoyed learning from her haircut demonstration and hearing about her career and experience in the beauty industry. ✂️#cosmetology #GrantCareer
