th
.
The building will not open until 7:30am.
Students will report to the cafeteria until their first class period. Breakfast will be available if a student wants breakfast. First period starts at 7:45am. Release for students begins at 2:20pm each day.
We have new staff members that will join the Grant team this year. Stop in and meet them when you are at Grant.
Ben Greeson – Technology Coordinator

Nate Bogan -Social Studies Teacher
We have a visitor management system as part of our safety protocols. If you are visiting Grant and need to venture beyond the high school office you will need to provide your state driver’s license so we can run it through our system. You will then have an id badge printed to wear during your time in the building.
We believe that immersive, hands-on projects and cooperative learning is as important to academic classes as the career tech programs. Each academic period is 90 minutes, so students have time to receive direct instruction, work in cooperative groups on projects and skills as well as time for individual work. Students will be scheduled in classes on an “A” (Tuesday and Thursday) day and “B “(Wednesday and Friday) day. We are calling these academic classes, academic learning labs. Students will rotate through two academic learning labs per day as well as their program. Students will attend all of their academic classes on Monday’s throughout the school year.
We use an on-line program, Final Forms, to complete the paperwork that the school needs from parents. A link to fill out the forms will be sent by the second week of August. This information from Final Forms will be delivered through the parent email account that was used to register at Grant or for the seniors through the parent email that was used last year. If you do not receive a final forms communication by August 9th, please contact the school.
There are three lunch periods. Students will have options of grab and go meals and all other food items will be provided to the students from one of the cafeteria staff. No take-out food should be brought for students.
EXCITING NEWS - This year Grant Career Center will be OFFERING ONE free breakfast and ONE free lunch for ALL students. A second breakfast, second lunch and ala carte items will be available for purchase. You do not need to fill out a lunch form this year. We would ask that you fill out the Ohio Income Form for any fee waivers or any other programs offered that may need that information.
Grant Career Center students will not be allowed to charge any extra items. Meal prices for all grades for the 2025-2026 school year are as follows: First Breakfast FREE for students,
Second Breakfast $2.00 per meal, First lunch FREE for student, Second lunch $3.50 per meal and Milk $.60
You can prepay for any extra items and check your child's account at the cafeteria online through our LINQ -Connect system. LINQ Connect can be accessed at: https://linqconnect.com/main If you do not have an account just click on the “Register” button and follow the instructions. LINQ Connect CANNOT BE used to pay for school fees. Parents that meet the income guidelines for free or reduced lunch please contact Buffy Young at 513- 734-6222 Ext. 83107 if you have any questions.
School fees (lab fees) are paid through the PaySchools program. See included information on setting up your PaySchools account.
Juniors will pick up their schedule at the new student orientation evening on August 7, 2025. Refer to times in the enclosed letter. Senior schedules will be mailed home by August 8, 2025. If you do not receive a schedule by August 12th , please contact the school.
All students will be receiving a laptop computer to use for school. This computer will be used by the student throughout the year. Computers will be distributed to senior students after the first few days of school are completed. Juniors and new student computers will be distributed during our new student's orientation evening on August 7th. More information about our one-to-one computer program is available through the Final Forms information you will complete.
Included with this electronic mailing is our employability rubric. Students receive an employability grade at Grant Career Center and receive an elective credit for the employability grade. The rubric outlines the criteria for the employability grade. The score is calculated based on the following: 60% Professional Skills, 20% Attendance, 10% Timeliness and 10% Behavior.
Included with this electronic mailing is a copy of the dress code. This is also available in the student handbook that can be accessed from our website. The only big difference is that students do not wear shorts at Grant. Since we are getting students ready for the workforce and their professional career, students do not wear shorts at Grant. There are special days throughout the year when they can wear them. These will be announced to the students.
Students being drug free is something we take very seriously at Grant Career Center. Please encourage your young adult to join our Drug Free Club this year.
There is a great deal of information in this letter so if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to answer any questions. There will be more information provided at our new student orientation. Please look at our website for updates. You can also download the Grant Career Center app to get updates on your phone. The app is available in the Apple or Google app store and can be found by searching for Grant Career Center.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
Sincerely,
Barry Daulton
